Hey “old sport!” If you don’t know that reference, you are not alone, and are probably a freshman, as the sophomores read this very statement a countless number of times in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. But, why are we talking about this anyways? Iykyk, it’s because of the Semi Formal! Get excited, because it is this Friday, May 3rd! So, what else do you need to know? Fear not, I, or better yet, Jay Gatsby and Daisy and Nick have got your back! 

The Hair:

Long, short, in an updo, or even a Mohawk, you have endless choices! But I hear that some want to go the extra mile? For the. young lady in the know: a ‘bob’. Here is some inspiration from the 20’s!

The Fit:

What should you wear? Even though most of you have an outfit picked out already, here are some of the outfits you can choose from!

Blouse and skirt (Spangly preferred)

Smoking Jacket (no smoking allowed though): the height of gentlemen’s fashion in the 20s.

Heels, formal shoes, sneakers, or maybe even Uggs? As long as you are comfortable to groove and jazz in them, go ahead!

Accessories?!: 

We are talking jewelry, feathers, canes, crowns, masks, and even brooches. Here is some inspiration for you!

Essentials:

Remember to bring your id, fill out the permission form, and of course, your best accessory-your smile, duh!

What to Expect:
